A small, CL style, campsite with just six pitches in two acres of park like meadow set in the lovely rolling countryside of the Vendée. Tranquil, secluded, with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside, this site is ideal for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle yet it is well places to explore the many interesting attractions of the area. With toilets, showers, washing cubicles & washing up sinks the site is ideal for tents, caravans or campervans. Pitch, two adults & electricity 14 euros - additional adults 3.50, children 2.50.
Centrally located between La Rochelle & Poitiers, Puy du Fou and the Venise Verte the campsite is situated 2kms outside the village of Breuil Barret, which has a bar/restaurant, boulangerie and tennis court. Supermarkets, banks etc., and swimming pool are to be found at La Châtaigneraie (6kms).
There are many lanes and tracks for walking and cycling including easy access on to the new 'round Vendée' cycle track.
The Mervent forest and lakes are approximately 10 mins away and has many facilities hidden away such as nautique centre, riding, small zoo, tree top adventure course, man-made beach for lake swimming.
